Devia, High Priestess

Devia is 28, and has been on her path for just over 11 years.  She has been both a covener and a solitary witch in the past, and although she still keeps up her solitary practices, she really prefers the sisterhood of a coven.  She began plans for Coven of the Tangled Pines in late May of 2006, and has been absolutely blessed by what has transpired since.  Spiritually, she would identify herself as a Southern Gothic Green Witch.  She was born and raised in Louisiana, and has come to know Tennessee as a second home.  She loves the south, and although it is largely Christian and conservative, she really feels that many aspects of southern life go hand in hand with nature-spirited Witchcraft.  She tries to blend her love for the rural Southern outdoors and her fascination with Southern superstition and folk magic (such as HooDoo) into a regional influence for her Craft.  Additionally, she has recently developed a strong interest in incorporating the pantheons and traditions of her ancestors into her Craft, so she is currently studying a lot of Celtic and Norse mythology.  She makes an effort to live "Green" in the environmental sense, doing what she can to make a positive impact on the earth.  Devia and her husband live on a small farm in Wilson County.  Her interests and hobbies include music of all kinds (from Norwegian death punk to old country), collecting oddities, quilting, knitting, sewing, cooking, gardening, animals (she has MANY of them), writing, teaching her Craft to others, and spending time with good friends.  Though she has a degree from MTSU in the music business, she has surprised herself in deciding that she would rather work from home and have plenty of time to spend with her family, and loves her home-based business as an Arbonne Consultant.

Castiel, Elder Grove Member    Castiel is 29, and initiated into the coven's inner circle in the Fall of 2006. She is married to a wonderful if somewhat reclusive man, and together they live with their eight animals in a little brick cottage in East Nashville, TN. Castiel takes her magical name from magical childhood experiences that rendered her forever changed. In her mundane life she works as a secretary to a group of researchers at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, but in her magical and private life she identifies as a Green/Hedge/Kitchen Witch who enjoys gardening, sewing, knitting, baking, cooking, making her home a haven, reading, dancing, singing, writting, teaching, watching movies and listening to music like Loreena McKennitt, Maya Brennan, and Jethro Tull. Her favorite types of magic are herb and candle magics, in which she incorporates a lot of stones. She received a Masters in Theological Studies in 2006, and her ambitions are to become a certified herbalist and massage therapist. In her wildest dreams, she would like to open a REAL Witch store in Nashville with her coven sisters.

Eilis, Elder Grove Member

Eilis moved to Middle Tennessee in 1993, where she met her husband, to whom she has been married since May 1996. Between the two of them there are five children (his, hers, and ours) and four (and counting) cats, and the newest addition, Isis the Gorgeous, a husky mix. Her magical name came from her favorite country, Ireland. She has been committed to the path of Eclectic, Celtic Witchcraft for over two years. She enjoys being a mom, camping, hiking, gardening, traveling, reading, and when inspired, poetry writing. In her work life she is a licensed massage therapist and enjoys helping people find alternative healing for their bodies, minds and spirits.

Corvus, Current Assistant High Priestess

Corvus is a rare breed in any circle: a hereditary Witch, from her maternal Irish heritage, and raised with a belief in magic and the Old Ways. At 25, she is currently the youngest member of the Inner Circle. After being "stalked" by three weirdos she now calls coven sisters at a Pagan study group, Corvus first attended a Tangled Pines meeting at Imbolc 2007, and initiated on the Blue Moon that May. When she's not keeping track of her coven sisters' birthdays and anniversaries or being overworked by her employer, you can find her in her really old, cool house with her husband and two precious doggies, perhaps making some of the most kick-ass Witch brooms you ever did see!

Raevis, Elder Grove Member

Raevis is a 35-years-young Leo (with a Pisces moon) experiencing the Mother phase of her life. With the full support and encouragement of her family, she joined CoTP on Ostara 2007 and initiated into the Inner Circle in August of that same year. Although relatively new to The Craft (3 years), she has been a diligent student of metaphysics since 1995, with her studies focusing on such topics as reincarnation, past life regression, Reiki, psychic development, astral projection, and remote viewing, to name just a few. "Celtic Kitchen Witch" would be a good description of Raevis' current path. With a nursing degree in hr back pocket, an innate desire to help and heal people, and a HUGE warm-fuzzy heart, she pursues greater knowledge of herbalism and natural healing with a holistic approach (that's where the hynosis and past life regression therapy comes in...). When she is not running after her two sons or being "witchy" she can be found with her nose in a book, making jewelry, or trying to figure out the new sewing machine she got for Yule. Oh! Let's not forget football! She's a NFL fanatic! Sunday and Monday nights during football season are NOT necessarily the best times to call and chat!
